Brake pads
Emporio Rossi sells brake pads of the following brands: Rrudforce, Textar, Jurid and Valeo. At our warehouse are available about 160 references of pads, and many others on order. Brake pads are the wear material that, pushed by the brake caliper towards the brake disc, creates friction with it and slows down the rotational motion of the wheels. The construction process of the pads must meet very strict quality standards: there can be many defects in a pad, which could compromise the efficiency of braking and, therefore, jeopardize the safety of the vehicle and people.
For this reason, the main European manufacturers of brake pads have joined together in a federation (FEMFM) that dictates the guidelines for the acceptability of the brake pad product; it specifies, for example, which are the most common defects of brake pads (such as the lifting or detachment of the edge of the lining, or surface contamination by foreign bodies or materials) and to what extent they are acceptable. In addition to this, FEMFM has classified all pads according to a criterion dictated by the shape of the pad itself: WVA number. Brake pads have a WVA number between 28000 and 29999. This means that, if you want to change the brake pads of your vehicle, it is not necessary to know the numerical code of the original product, but it is sufficient to know the WVA number.
